Depth Training

Deepen your freediving!

Our Sunday depth training sessions at Lake Berryessa, in the heart of California wine country, are designed for all certified freedivers from beginner to advanced.

Build upon what you learned in class, and progress your practice at your own pace.

Timing
Depth Training sessions run on Sundays, 10am - 1pm, with optional lunch afterwards from 2-3pm at the winery down the road.

The season runs from the first Sunday of March to the last Sunday of November before Thanksgiving.

Location
Our freediving spot is at the south east end of the lake, next to the dam, about an hour's drive north of San Francisco. Here are the GPS coordinates for our spot: 38.509385, -122.112025. You can also find it by typing "Freedive Studio" into Google Maps.

Expiry
Season Passes expire at the end of the season (the last Sunday before Thanksgiving), and Day Passes expire at the end of the season in which they were purchased.

Refunds
You can cancel your purchase for a full refund at any time before you attend your first class, up to 30 days after purchase, at no charge for a first refund and subject to a 2.9% payment processing fee for any subsequent refunds. After attending one or more classes, or after 30 days after purchase, you cannot get a partial refund for the remaining classes for any reason either medical (surgery, covid, injury, etc) or non-medical (moving, car trouble, etc).

Cancellation
In the unlikely event that we cancel Depth Training midway through a season (for example, because the Bureau of Reclamation closes the lake), holders of unused Day Passes will receive a full refund and Season Pass holders will receive a pro-rata refund based on the date of purchase and date of closure.

Certification
To purchase a Season Pass, you must have an open water freediving certification such as AIDA 2, Molchanovs Wave 1, PADI Freediver, or equivalent. The level below (AIDA 1, PADI Discover Freediving, etc) is not accepted.

To purchase a Day Pass, you must have an advanced open water freediving certification such as AIDA 3, Molchanovs Wave 2, PADI Advanced Freediver, or equivalent. The level below (AIDA 2, Molchanovs Wave 1, PADI Freediver, etc) is not accepted.

You must provide us with a link to your certification before you attend your first class.
