Packing is a technique used by advanced freedivers to fill their lungs more fully before the dive, allowing them to take down more oxygen and more air for equalization.

These days pretty much 100% of elite freedivers use packing.

Even if you're not trying to go super deep, a nice thing about packing is that it can simply be used to counteract the extra pressure from water and wetsuit to allow you to get as big of a final breath as you would on land. This means you don't have to worry about your final breath being perfect.

This class will cover the fundamentals of packing:

  • How to do it correctly
  • How to use training tools to improve

We'll start by perfecting the technique on land, then try it in the water.
